This week i will be discovering James Patterson!

He has been called "The Man Who Can't Miss" by Time magazine. He received his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College, and his Masters degree at Vanderbilt University and he lives in Palm Beach.

In the past three years, James has sold more books than any other author (according to Bookscan), and in total, James's books have sold an estimated 170 million copies worldwide. He is the first author to have #1 new titles simultaneously on The New York Times adult and children's lists and is the only author to have five new hardcover novels debut at #1 on the list in one year—a record-breaking feat he's accomplished every year since 2005. To date, James Patterson has had nineteen consecutive #1 New York Times bestselling novels, and holds the New York Times record for most Hardcover Fiction bestselling titles by a single author (56 total), which is also a Guinness World Record.

What you might not know:

Horror novelist Stephen King has dismissed Patterson's bibliography as being made up of "dopey thrillers," and in one interview called him a "terrible writer". In a "10 Questions" interview in the July 5, 2010 issue of Time magazine, Patterson was asked: "What do you say to critics like author Stephen King who say you're not a great prose stylist?" Patterson responded: "I am not a great prose stylist. I'm a storyteller. There are thousands of people who don't like what I do. Fortunately, there are millions who do."

This week i will be discovering Stephenie Meyer!

Stephenie Meyer was born December 24th 1973. She lives in Phoenix, with her husband and three sons.

Stephenie Meyer's life changed on June 2, 2003 when she woke up from a dream with the idea for characters for a book. She was done with Twilight three months later! Twilight has sold over 100 million copies globally and she was the biggest selling author of both 2008 and 2009.

What you might not know:

There are many novels that are said to have been a inspiration for Twilight. These include: Anne of Green Gables, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights, etc.

But music is the biggest influence on her writing. Bands include Muse, Coldplay, Blue October, etc.

This week I'll be chatting about JK Rowling




















This famous Author needs no introduction!

She is a British author best known as the creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series!
Rowling was born on 31 July 1965 in Yate, Gloucestershire, England. Rowling later read for a BA in French and Classics at the University of Exeter.

But did you know:

Aside from writing the Potter novels, Rowling is perhaps equally famous for her "rags to riches" life story, in which she progressed from living on welfare to multi-millionaire status within five years.

She also got the idea for Harry Potter while on a train trip from Manchester to London in 1990.

Rowling is estimated to be worth 1 Billion Dollars!

Richelle Mead is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She is originally from Michigan but now lives in Seattle.

Richelle Mead is also known for her Vampire Academy series, and the last book in the series (Last Sacrifice) cover has finally been released:

What you might not know:

Richelle Mead has a liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan, an MA in Comparative Religion from Western Michigan University, and a Master in Teaching (Middle & High School English) degree from the University of Washington.

Richelle Mead is also fascinated with mythology and folklore. And she is a self-professed coffee addict who says music was perfected in the 1980s
