Musing Mondays

This weekly meme is hosted by Should Be Reading

This week’s musing…
What makes you love / hate a character in a book?
Love - Definitely characters who are funny, kick-ass and not afraid to stand up for themselves. I also like quirky characters :)

Hate - Characters with no personality. And characters that are hateful and spiteful.

And you?

Yes, I agree...and I think the drama between the good and bad ones makes me love the book more!

Here's what I wrote:

Characters are like real people, it comes down to chemistry. Here’s my Musing for Monday.

Yes to the characters that are hateful and spiteful. I will occasionally read books with these as protagonists if there is hope for character development, but if they remain that way through the whole book, they just get really tiresome (case in point for me: Wuthering Heights.)
