Technically she lives in Cave Creek on this crazy hill in this humongous house with a fabulous view. :D I say this because its about 20 min away from where I live and she runs in the same social circles as some of my clients. I do adore her books and have some crazy dream of accidentally seeing her around town. Although, with 1.5 million people in the Phoenix metro valley that is not the easiest feat. Still, I know people have issues with her books and as a crazy vampire fan, I get it... but, she is still one of my favorite authors. Love your post!!

In the Closet With a Bibliophile
Its awesome that you live so close!
Lol here in South Africa we can only hope to see someone famous (which will never happen :P)
She is also one of my favorite authors :)
But i also understand that her books are either a love or hate thing, with me its love :)
I'm enjoying your author tidbits! I had the chance to meet Stephenie Meyer during her first book tour, a month or so after twilight was released. Starstruck, I hardly said a word to her and there were literally under 10 people at the talk. She even told me I looked like Bella, believe it or not. *sigh* That will NEVER happen again! *double sigh*
~Brooke, Brooke's Box of Books
That's awesome Brooke! At least you met her and have a cool memory :)
Lu have you read her Midnight Sun that she posted on her website? Apparently she was writing Twilight from Edward's pov and someone stole what she had written and posted it on the internet. She knows who it was because she only let a few copies out of her hands and had made subtle changes in each. Anyway, it was going to be great, but as of yet five or six years later, she hasn't finished it. I would love to read it! It makes such a difference in what seems to be his arrogance and coldness. I loved it and laughed at some of it. Go to her website and read it. There are over two hundred pages.

I love your author tidbits. Melissa Marr is one of my favorite all time authors. She writes about faeires, but none like you've read about as a child. They're very dark stories.
Hi Heather!
I want to read it so bad! But I'm going to wait for her to release it officially :)
