"Three years ago, Alison disappeared after a slumber party, not to be seen since. Her friends at the elite Pennsylvania school mourned her, but they also breathed secret sighs of relief. Each of them guarded a secret that only Alison had known. Now they have other dirty little secrets, secrets that could sink them in their gossip-hungry world. When each of them begins receiving anonymous emails and text messages, panic, sets in. Are they being betrayed by some one in their circle? Worse yet: Is Alison back? A strong launch for a suspenseful series."

7/10

I decided to start this series because I love the TV series so much! I was a bit surprised that the first instalment was basically the first episode of the show, but it was still a fun read!

It is a very easy and laid back book that definitely leaves you wanting more! Forbidden love, eating disorders, lesbianism and a few other touchy subjects will keep you hooked. There is fun, drama, secrets and a thrilling mystery. I will definitely read the next books to see what happens.

Don't read if you are looking for a "heavy" or even "substantial" book. This is a fun read for when you are in a reading slump or not in the mood to work through complicated plots.
