My Answer:
I just can't, i have to suffer through it! But to be fair i haven't really read a really awful book in awhile so maybe if i come across one now i would leave it.

When do you decided to put a book aside? 50 pages? when something particular happens? or never?

I never put a book aside :) I stick to it to the bitter end, even when I want to throw it out of the window!

I too will make myself suffer through it.
I too will make myself suffer through as long as I feel there is some hope left in it. If I find myself reading the same paragraph over and over again, I put the book down.
